Robert James Fischer (March 9, 1943 – January 17, 2008)
Robert James Fischer was a youngest american chess master and 11th world champion breaking the world dominance of Soviet Union in the game of chess. His perfection in the US championship is still unbreakable when he scored perfect in 1963-64 at the age of 20. He was always self learner and his self effort had given a new enlightenment to the world of chess. His each game is a case study among the top players.
Fischer played in eight US Championships, winning all of them,by at least a one-point margin.His results were and highlighted in green is a perfect score.
Fischer was the first person in the history of chess mentioning the Bishop value to be higher than Knight and set an extra ordinary example of King's Indian Defence which was mostly popularise in recent decades due to his games. He has enlightens the world with his brilliance of game and moves in the game of chess.His written book is among the most popular in the world of chess readers.
At the age of 29 he participated for world championship match against a USSR defending 10th world champion Boris Spassky and defeated him under the title of "Game of the Century" , in the match number 6 , Spassky applauded his brilliant game against him.
Spassky and Fischer met against in 1992 for the $5 million match held in Yugoslavia and Fischer claims the victory against the former world champion. Unfortunately this event participation had cost him to be an emigre and his passport was revoked due to US sanctions on Yugoslavia and US issued a warrant to arrest him. Nonetheless his contribution to the chess world would always be remembered for many generations.
He was a child prodigy, a genius and the greatest of all time in the history of chess.
At the Zurich International Tournament, spring 1959, At the age of 16 , Fischer finished a point behind future World Champion Mikhail Tal, another genius who played the moves like modern chess engines.
Worth mentioning at the age of 29, after winning championship against spassky , he retired from the chess, wow only at age 29 !!!!!!

In March 1949, 6-year-old Bobby and his sister Joan learned how to play chess using the instructions from a set bought at a candy store.[23] When Joan lost interest in chess and Regina did not have time to play, Fischer was left to play many of his first games against himself.[24] When the family vacationed at Patchogue, Long Island, New York that summer, Bobby found a book of old chess games and studied it intensely.[25]

He was at Bobby's bedside as a friend, to try to do anything he could for him. Because of his training, however, he couldn't fail to take note of Bobby's mental condition. Underneath I think he was a caring sensitive person."
