Alibaba , traded as BABA in NYSE, the Chinese e-commerce giant, went public with a valuation of $170bn on September 19, 2014 , while the pricing of the IPO initially raised US$21.8 billion(Alibaba's IPO priced at US$68), which later increased to US$25 billion.After it got public valuation is being turned up to $231bn , which  made history as the biggest technology IPO the world has ever seen beating the  Visa’s initial public offering in 2008, was the previous record holder, after it raised $19.7bn.

On 19 September 2014, pre-order saw more than 3x order were put on hold and so trading could not began at the  initial launching  bell . it started trading at 11:54 AM with the price of  $92.70 as compared to IPO price of $68  in NYSE  and within a few minutes of trading 50 mn shares being traded, history was created with the largest share sale in the  American history of stock market.
